The whistle blows for the interval and England lead at the break 1-0. A 13th minute goal from Jude Bellingham has given them a crucial lead in Gelsenkirchen. Serbia found rhythm at the flag end of the first half but the Three Lions have been the better side by far.
England will be hoping to start their quest for continental glory on a perfect note as they play Serbia. Gareth Southgate has named a strong squad and this England unit will be scrutinized with their performance in Germany. Serbia, on the other hand, always is a strong outfit and can surprise any teams. With a very well-balanced team of their own, they would be hoping to topple the Three Lions.
England's recent form is a cause for concern as the Three Lions have won only one out of their last five matches. They lost against Brazil earlier this year and recently had a shock defeat against Iceland. Serbia are not that good either with just two wins in last five, losing against Austria and Russia in this period.
