Antonio Conte expressed that securing another Scudetto with Napoli would be a significant achievement, complementing their Champions League qualification for next season. Despite a recent 2-2 draw against Genoa, Napoli leads Serie A with 78 points, just one point ahead of Inter. With two matches left, the title could be decided by a play-off if both teams finish level on points.

Napoli's fate is in their own hands as they prepare to face Parma. A victory could secure the title if Inter falters against Lazio. However, Napoli has struggled against newly-promoted teams recently, earning only one point from two away games in the second half of the season after initially winning all three home matches against them.

Conte acknowledged feeling immense responsibility to deliver the Scudetto to Naples. "I feel a great deal of responsibility, perhaps too much," he stated during a pre-match press conference. He admitted to feeling pressure unique to this situation but assured that he has broad shoulders to manage it.

Napoli last claimed the league title in the 2022-23 season but finished 10th last year. Conte remarked, "We have already created a beautiful cake by returning to the Champions League. Now let's put the icing on the cake!" He emphasized their ambition to make history and be remembered in Naples.

This season, Napoli has been defensively solid, conceding only 27 goals—the second-lowest in Europe's top five leagues after Athletic Bilbao. They have also achieved 17 clean sheets, more than any other team in these leagues. Only twice before have they recorded more clean sheets in Serie A: 18 in 2022-23 and 19 in 2017-18.

Conte mentioned that Scott McTominay sustained a minor injury during training but did not provide details. "McTominay had a few problems during the week," Conte noted, adding confidence in his team's ability to overcome challenges.

McTominay has excelled this season with 11 goals and six assists in Serie A. He is only the second midfielder in two decades to contribute at least 15 goals in his debut Serie A season, following Hernanes' achievement of 16 goal contributions in 2010-11.
