Sevilla want former Premier League starlet

Sevilla want former Premier League starlet

Adel Tarrabt

London, Deccember 1: European giants Sevilla are chasing former Premier League maverick Adel Taarabt if reports in Italy and Spain are to be believed.

The former Fulham, Tottenham and QPR midfielder has been in great form for Genoa this season and has once again caught the eye of the scouts across Europe.

The Morocco international was once the biggest talents in world football but he failed to reach the heights he was expected to. However, he has once again sparked to form now and despite being 28, he can still have a bright career ahead of him.

Even though his side are struggling in a relegation battle in Serie A, Tarrabt has stood out with his creative play and skill.

And now Calcio Mercato in Italy claim Sevilla are considering making a move to sign the 28-year-old.

Taarabt has long had a reputation for being blessed with the talent to made a big impact in matches but he found it hard to impress on a weekly basis and his attitude was not the best too.

His dedication to his job has always been questioned, with repeated issues on the training ground during his time in English football.

When he first broke through at Tottenham he was tipped to be a big player in the Premier League. He was blessed with jaw-dropping skills and technical abilities alongwith creativity.

But concerns over his fitness levels led to him being shipped out on loan to Fulham and he then made a permanent move to QPR.

He did quite well at both Fulham and QPR but eventually fell out with the management of the respective clubs which led to a downfall in his career.

A spell at AC Milan failed to see him establish himself, and he then ended up signing for Portuguese giants Benfica.

Now, he is finally doing well at Genoa and Sevilla, who are known to be a shrewd club when it comes to doing business, are interested in him and a move could bring his career back on the right track.
