Sheffield United Climbs Back To Championship Summit Following Comeback Against Swansea City

Sheffield United secured a vital 2-1 victory over Swansea City, reclaiming the top spot in the Championship. Luton Town's struggles continue as they drop deeper into relegation trouble after a loss to Oxford United.

Sheffield United climbed to the top of the Championship after a 2-1 comeback win against Swansea City. At the Liberty Stadium, Chris Wilder's team was trailing at halftime due to Florian Bianchini's early goal from a set-piece. However, Rhian Brewster equalised shortly after the break. Swansea's Harry Darling received a red card for a foul on Tyrese Campbell, and Harrison Burrows secured victory with a penalty in the 68th minute.

Sunderland maintained pressure with a narrow 1-0 win over Derby County, placing them third in the standings. Eliezer Mayenda scored in the first half, securing victory for Sunderland. This defeat leaves Derby just one point above relegation, having played more games than Portsmouth, who are third-bottom.

Sheffield United Tops Championship After Comeback Win

Middlesbrough revitalised their play-off hopes by defeating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Riverside Stadium. Hayden Hackney opened the scoring for Michael Carrick's side in the first half. Ben Doak added another goal in the 83rd minute, marking their first win in three matches. Middlesbrough now sits fifth, while West Brom drops to seventh.

Oxford United continued their strong form under Gary Rowett with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Luton Town at Kassam Stadium. Tom Krauss gave Luton an early lead, but Michal Helik equalised for Oxford in the 23rd minute. Mark McGuinness restored Luton's lead before halftime. Ciaron Brown and Greg Leigh scored in the second half to secure Oxford's win.

Cardiff City managed to draw against Millwall despite being two goals down early on. Callum Scanlon scored for Millwall within two minutes, followed by Casper De Norre's goal on 19 minutes. Chris Willock pulled one back for Cardiff before halftime. Yousef Salech scored a dramatic equaliser in the 97th minute, lifting Cardiff to 19th place.

The Championship table remains competitive as Sheffield United leads by two points over Leeds United, who have yet to play this week. Meanwhile, Swansea sits at 15th position following their loss to Sheffield United.
