SLK 2026: Forca Kochi FC Thrash Thiruvananthapuram Kombans 3-0 for Biggest Win the Season

Forca Kochi FC produced a commanding performance to register their biggest victory of the White Gold Super League Kerala Season 3, defeating Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC 3-0 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday night.

The emphatic win marked Kochi's third victory in four matches, taking their tally to eight points. Thiruvananthapuram, meanwhile, remained on four points after suffering a disappointing defeat.

Kochi established their attacking intent early, exploiting the left flank to put the visitors under pressure. Their positive approach yielded results in the sixth minute when Raghav Gupta capitalised on a headed pass and finished confidently with his right foot to give the hosts an early advantage.

Forca Kochi continued to threaten and came agonisingly close to extending their lead around the half-hour mark. Alan Saji struck the right post before another Kochi attempt rattled the crossbar. However, the second goal arrived in the 35th minute as Rahul Raju surged forward from the left before guiding a right-footed effort into the corner. The goal was his third of the campaign.

Thiruvananthapuram, who had won their previous two league matches through penalty shootouts, struggled to find their rhythm despite creating opportunities. Ghanaian forward Stephen Acquah came close early on, but his effort narrowly missed the target.

Trailing by two goals at the break, the visitors attempted to mount a comeback in the second half. However, Kochi's defence remained organised, effectively dealing with repeated crosses and limiting the opposition's attacking threat.

The hosts put the contest beyond doubt in the 66th minute. Harshal Rahman shrugged off his marker before unleashing a powerful, low shot that beat Thiruvananthapuram goalkeeper Satyajit Bordoloi.

The Kombans continued searching for a consolation goal, with Portugal's Joao Parades testing goalkeeper Jaimy Joy in the 78th minute. Joy produced a smart save to preserve Kochi's clean sheet.

Unlike their previous dramatic comeback against Malappuram FC, Thiruvananthapuram found no way back as Kochi secured a convincing three-goal victory.
