"When I talk about Slot, Liverpool didn’t buy players in the summer. He’s rejuvenated so many different players. Gakpo looks a different player, Diaz looks a different player, [Ryan] Gravenberch in midfield... even Mo Salah! It’s only been five games since Diaz has been the centre-forward, starting with the [Bayer] Leverkusen game, and just look at those numbers," Carragher stated.

Under Slot's guidance, Gakpo appears transformed on the left compared to his previous central role under Klopp. Similarly, Diaz excels as a central forward. This shift is not a critique of Klopp but highlights Slot's impactful tweaks.

Both Diaz and Gakpo have demonstrated exceptional finishing skills this season. They have significantly outperformed their expected goals (xG) metrics. Gakpo scored 11 goals from chances worth just 5.9 xG, while Diaz netted 12 times from opportunities valued at 7.7 xG.

Liverpool's Upcoming Challenges

The Reds are set to face Manchester United next Sunday after already defeating them 3-0 away in August when Diaz scored twice. The Opta supercomputer now predicts a high probability of Liverpool winning their record-equalling 20th English championship title.
