Arne Slot Vows Liverpool Will Fight On Despite Recent Poor Form Ahead Of West Ham Clash

Arne Slot has pledged that Liverpool will keep fighting to improve their performance as they prepare to face West Ham. The team is struggling with recent losses and aims to turn their fortunes around.

Arne Slot remains determined as Liverpool prepares to face West Ham on Sunday, aiming to reverse their recent poor performance. The team has suffered nine defeats in their last 12 games, including a 4-1 loss to PSV in the Champions League. This defeat added to their woes after consecutive 3-0 losses against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest.

In the Premier League, Liverpool's form has seen them drop to 12th place, trailing leaders Arsenal by 11 points. Their chances of retaining the title are now slim, with Opta's supercomputer giving them just a 1.2% probability. Arsenal leads the race with an 80.4% chance of winning.

Liverpool's Arne Slot Vows to Fight On

Despite mounting pressure, reports indicate that Liverpool's management plans to support Slot through this challenging period. When asked about his future during Thursday's press conference, Slot stated: "We've had the same conversations we've had since I am here. We fight on. We will try to improve."

Slot emphasised the importance of teamwork and perseverance, saying: "You try to find the answers of what is needed to win a game of football, but in the end, it is about doing what this club is about. We have to keep fighting, fight together." He acknowledged that small mistakes have been costly for the team.

Thomas Frank, facing scrutiny for Tottenham's recent performances, expressed confidence in Slot's ability to turn things around for Liverpool. "Arne is clearly an unbelievable coach," Frank remarked during his press conference. "What he did with Feyenoord and how he stepped into Liverpool incredible."

Frank continued: "He will 1,000% find a way out of that. I don't know him personally, but he will stay calm, him and his coaching staff will find a solution, and they will go again." His words reflect a belief in Slot's capability to navigate this difficult phase.

The Reds' current situation marks their first instance since September 1992 of conceding three or more goals in three consecutive matches. As they prepare for their upcoming match at London Stadium, Slot hopes for improvement and rewards for their efforts when playing well.

Liverpool fans remain hopeful that Slot can guide the team back on track despite recent setbacks. The focus now shifts to finding solutions and regaining form as they continue their Premier League campaign.
