South United FC organizes Inter-City tournament for Youth Development - Complete List of Award Winners

South United Football Club (SUFC) recently concluded its inaugural SUFC Inter-City Tournament at its state-of-the-art facility in Ulsoor, Bengaluru.

This exciting event brought together over 250 young footballers from SUFC's Bengaluru and Pune academies, highlighting the Club's dedication to grassroots football development.

The tournament featured teams across five categories - Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, and Under-17. The Pune teams clinched titles in four out of the five categories, with the Bengaluru-based SUFC Pillars securing the Under-17 title.

Terry Phelan, Sporting Director of South United Sports Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. "The idea behind this tournament was to bring our teams together in Bengaluru and provide them with a competitive and fun experience. Our commitment to grassroots football continues as we also work toward establishing a Residential Academy in the city," he said.

Beyond the matches, the tournament offered enriching experiences, including interactions with the Club's senior team, a workshop on video analysis by Chief Scout and Analyst Indresh Nagarajan, and a session on integrating sports and academics hosted by Prose Edu. Participants also enjoyed attending an Indian Super League (ISL) match between Bengaluru FC and Mohammedan SC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, adding to the weekend's excitement.
