Spain prepares for their next international fixtures, they come off a stellar year, having won both the Euros and the Olympics.
With the squad announcement eagerly awaited, Luis de la Fuente has revealed the players selected for Spain's upcoming matches in September. The reigning Euro Champions will play Serbia and Switzerland in two UEFA Nations League matches on September 5 and September 8 respectively.

Despite his contribution in the Euros, Jesus Navas has not been selected. Yeremy Pino makes the squad, while Marco Asensio is once again left out. Arsenal's new boy Mikel Merino has also not been included in the latest squad. The former Real Sociedad midfielder had a good outing for La Roja in the Euros, but has been left out surprisingly.
These will be the first matches for the Spanish football team since their outstanding Euro win in July.
