Spain Squad for March 2026 Friendlies: Lamine Yamal returns as Arsenal star among 4 with Debut Call-Ups

The Spain national football team (La Roja), under coach Luis de la Fuente, has announced a 27-player squad for their March 2026 international friendlies.

These matches serve as preparation ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 later in the year. Spain will play two matches in the upcoming international week, the final two friendlies ahead of the FIFA World Cup window in June.

March 27, 2026: Spain vs Serbia at Estadio de la Cerámica (Villarreal), kickoff at 21:00 local time.
March 31, 2026: Spain vs Egypt at RCDE Stadium (Cornellà de Llobregat), kickoff at 21:00 local time.

The squad was officially revealed on Friday (March 20, 2026), via the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). It includes four maiden call-ups.

Two key players, Lamine Yamal and Rodri, return to the squad after missing the November call-up due to injuries. Dean Huijsen also rejoins the national team roster, having recovered from his previous injury during the last gathering. But PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz misses out with an injury while Arsenal's Mikel Merino also not picked after his broken foot.

Four Maiden Call-Ups in Spain Squad

The four players with maiden call-ups are- Joan Garcia (goalkeeper, Barcelona), Cristhian Mosquera (defender, Arsenal), Ander Barrenetxea (forward, Real Sociedad), and Víctor Muñoz (forward, Osasuna).
