The Euro 2024 will come to its conclusion with the final encounter between Spain and England on Sunday (July 14).
After a scintillating display in the semifinals, both teams have progressed for the championship clash in Berlin. England and Spain both had an identical victory as they both came back from a goal down to win 2-1 over Netherlands and France respectively.

It has been a fantastic performance from Spain in this Euros. They had a few disappointing outings in the last few major tournaments but have roared back in this competition. England have been consistent in recent past and now have qualified for consecutive Euro finals and will be hoping to go one place better from last time.
England and Spain have played 27 matches against each other. The Three Lions do have the upper hand with 14 wins, compared to 10 wins for Spain. Three matches have ended in a draw.
There is very little to separate the two sides even in terms of recent results. In the last five meetings both teams have won 2 each and one match ended in a stalemate. Hence it promises to be an exciting encounter.
The most recent meeting of these two teams was almost six years ago in a UEFA Nations League match.
England won that match 3-2 away in Spain. Raheem Sterling scored a brace and Marcus Rashford scored one as the Three Lions were leading 3-0 at Half Time. Paco Alcacer and Sergio Ramos netted one each but England held on to get all three points.
We have to go back 28 years when Spain and England last played against each other in the Euros. In 1996, these two teams met in the quarterfinal stage. After a goalless match, England went on to win 4-2 in penalties.
