Spain vs England, Euro 2024: Terry Phelan names Jude Bellingham to be key in final where Three Lions can win it all

Spain and England are set to clash for the Euro 2024 on Sunday and it could prove to be a match for the ages. While Spain have been brilliant throughout the tournament, the story hasn't been the same for England. However, they managed to impress in their semi-final game against the Netherlands.

Taking that game into consideration, myKhel asked former Manchester City and Chelsea footballer Terry Phelan what are England’s odds of winning the final. He said, “Spain have been absolutely eye-catching. They've been absolutely fantastic but at the end of the day, it comes down to that 90 minutes plus. And, you know, England know how to get it done.”

He added, “Spain will be more frightened of England than England will be of Spain because everybody's expecting Spain to come out and play this wonderful attractive football again, and it's up to England to stifle that, to nullify that. So why can't England win it? They sure can when it's a one off game, and anything can happen in this one off game, you know.”

England have the players that can make a difference in this game and so does Spain. Both teams have their sets of players who have been more than brilliant throughout. However, when we asked which player Terry Phelan thinks could be the point of difference in this game, he named Jude Bellingham.

He said, “This game will have some wonderful players there. They're all capable of winning this game on their own. Every one of them is capable. Bellingham, Harry Kane, Williams, Olmo, Yamal, Ruiz. I think it's gonna be a battle of the back force, if I'm really honest. I'm really looking forward to that.”

He added, “I think it's gonna be one-on-one individual battles. I think the individual battles are key, and they're gonna really have to watch Bellingham. Because if Bellingham gets forward, and on the blind side of players and the Spanish players, I think he could do a little bit of damage.”
