Vitor Pereira, the Wolves manager, set aside tactical strategies before their victory over Manchester United. Following a 3-0 triumph against Leicester City in his debut match, Wolves secured a 2-0 win against United on Boxing Day. Matheus Cunha scored from a corner, and Hwang Hee-chan added another late goal at Molineux.
Pereira highlighted that the team's recent success wasn't solely due to tactics. "I said to them now that it's not only about tactical things, it's about spirit, the energy, the commitment, the confidence in themselves," he told Amazon Prime. He emphasised the importance of confidence in achieving goals and praised the players' quality and mental strength.

Cunha played a pivotal role by scoring the opening goal and assisting Hwang's goal during stoppage time. The Brazilian has been on a scoring streak, netting in his last three Premier League matches for Wolves. Only Henri Camara has had a longer scoring run for the club in April 2004 with five games.
Pereira praised Cunha's individual skill for his goal. "We tried to put this ball swinging inside, but it's his quality," Pereira remarked about Cunha's inswinging corner that found its way into Andre Onana's net. He believes Cunha can achieve high standards in the league due to his talent.
Pereira made history as the first Wolves manager since Sammy Chung in August 1977 to win his first two top-flight league games. Additionally, he is only the second Portuguese manager after Jose Mourinho to achieve this feat in the Premier League.
Wolves are preparing for their next challenge as they face Tottenham on Sunday. With Pereira's leadership and the team's current form, they aim to continue their winning momentum.
