Frank Criticises Tottenham Fans For Unacceptable Booing During Fulham Defeat

Thomas Frank expressed discontent over Tottenham fans booing during their defeat against Fulham. He emphasised the importance of support in tough moments and reflected on the team's struggles at home.

Tottenham Hotspur faced another setback as they lost 2-1 to Fulham at home, sparking discontent among their fans. The defeat marked Tottenham's third loss in just seven days and their tenth home defeat of 2025, equalling the club's record for most home losses in a calendar year. The early goals by Kenny Tete and Harry Wilson left Spurs trailing within six minutes, leading to boos from the crowd.

Thomas Frank expressed his displeasure with the booing directed at goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario following his mistake that led to Fulham's second goal. "When you're down 2-0 after six minutes, there is a mountain to climb," Frank stated. He emphasised that true supporters should back their team during the match and not express dissatisfaction until after the final whistle.

Frank Slams Spurs Fans for Booing

Fulham's victory was significant as it was their first Premier League away win against Tottenham since March 2013. Marco Silva praised his team's performance, particularly their strong first half. "I'm very proud of the boys," Silva said, highlighting their clinical play and resilience in maintaining the lead despite pressure from Tottenham in the second half.

Despite a stronger second-half performance from Spurs, where they created more chances and pulled a goal back through Mohammed Kudus, they couldn't find an equaliser. Frank acknowledged the emotional nature of the game but stressed the importance of sticking to the plan and remaining composed under pressure.

Silva noted that while Fulham struggled more in the second half, they managed to hold on for a crucial win that distanced them further from relegation concerns. He praised his players' unity and determination, stating that they deserved all three points for their efforts throughout the match.

The result leaves Tottenham reflecting on a challenging period as they aim to improve their form at home. Meanwhile, Fulham will look to build on this victory as they continue their campaign with renewed confidence.
