New Delhi, Aug 29: Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that he feels sorry for his striker Harry Kane as the striker is struggling with August goal scoring drought with yet another season.

Last season's Golden Boot winner is yet to discover his scoring boots this term and for which his team is currently at the ninth place after only three matches in the Premier League.

The London side were seconds away from registering their second win of the season, however, an injury time equaliser from Burnley's Chris Wood smashed their hope.

The Clarets' record signing kept running on to Robbie Brady's through ball before scoring the ball past Hugo Lloris to counteract Dele Alli's early strike in a thrilling style.

Kane, got two adequate first-half chances to bury the game in bed, however, somehow could not find his feet and failed to score a league goal in the first month of the season, a record now stretching to 13 games.

And with September now just four days away manager Mauricio Pochettino claimed that he is certain that the goal will come soon as the striker is working hard to make his presence feel.

“Yes, sometimes this happens for him, it’s true after three seasons,” said Pochettino.

“He’s a player who works hard, and I feel sorry for him, he had opportunities to score but as a striker you need a bit of luck. But he will start to score soon.”

Mauricio Pochettino also said Tottenham Hotspur have a mental issue, not a Wembley issue after they failed to in consecutive seven matches there and winning only twice at the national stadium in 12 matches since 2007.

"I agree we can't have moments like this if we want to challenge for the title," Pochettino said.

"We need to work hard to try to be more strong, because that is a mental problem that we need to fix.

"It's true that the results are too early to try to analyse what will happen in the future, because last season after three or four games you would never have said that Chelsea would be champions.

"That is why in football you have to try to work hard to fix the problems and it is clear we need to improve and increase our mental levels and become more strong."
