Bengaluru, August 7: Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard believes that his former club are not yet finished in the transfer market and expect Jurgen Klopp to add to his squad within the next few weeks.

The Reds have made just three signings so far this summer with Dominic Solanke arriving from Chelsea, Mohamed Salah signing from Roma and Andrew Robertson joining from Hull City.

There always remains an expectation that at least one more marquee signing may be on the cards for Liverpool as Klopp looks to bolster his team and add strength in depth ahead of a season in which they will be expected to challenge for the Premier League title.

RB Leipzig's Naby Keita had been identified as a priority target in midfield, only for the Reds to see two bids of £57m and £66m both rejected by the Bundesliga club and met with a stern insistence that the Guinean would not be sold for any price this summer.

Liverpool could also revive their pursuit of Southampton skipper Virgil van Dijk, having previously issued a statement 'ending all interest' in the Dutchman after Southampton's complaint over an alleged illegal pursuit.

Despite various setbacks, Gerrard believes Klopp could have a couple of surprises left in the remainder of the window.

"In pre-season, they have looked very strong and with three weeks to go in the window, I wouldn't be surprised if Jurgen has got a couple of cards up his sleeve," he told BT Sport, per the Express.

"He might bring a couple of big signings in."

"Liverpool look really dangerous on the counter. If they can learn how to break teams down at home and defend a bit better, I think they are a force.

"There is still time, three weeks to go. Last year, against the top six they were excellent and had a very good record."

So, will Klopp surprise us in the remainder of the transfer window or will Liverpool have to contend with the squad they have right now? We have to wait and see.
