Stoke City vs Manchester United: Preview, Lineups, and TV guide

Manchester, Sep 8: The fixture of Stoke City versus Manchester United has recently brought some odd experiences for the Red Devils as the current table toppers have failed to win any of their last three matches in the bet365 Stadium and this season again the Potters will be seeking after yet another upset this Saturday.

However, the Red Devils who are on a roll will be hoping to maintain their scintillating form to overcome their earlier bad experience in this match.

Stoke City had begun the season with a 1-0 away defeat at Everton however soon after the defeat, Mark Hughes's men overcame the misfortune just in the next week when they defeated mighty Arsenal with a 1-0 win.

They also produced an impressive display at the Hawthrone's against Tony Pulis last week as they snatched a late draw with a goal of veteran Peter Crouch.

On the other hand, Manchester giant United have already shown their title contention mettle this season with consecutive three wins on a trot, without conceding a single goal.

The Red Devils have already scored 10 goals altogether and their new signings Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic are already proved to be a hit under Mourinho whereas stars like Paul Pogba and Mkhitaryan have also started to show their potential with full throttle.

However, just winning one game in the last five outing at Stoke away, could be an important viewpoint in this fixture.

Injury concerns:

Stoke boss Hughes has some injury problems concerning three players as the former United player Fletcher is a doubt with a knee problem as well as Mame Biram Diouf and Choupo-Moting also having to be evaluated after sustaining knee and hamstring issues respectively.

On the other hand, there are no fresh injury concerns for Manchester United, as Marouane Fellaini looks to have recovered from a minor injury he sustained on international duty and the Portuguese boss is believed to continue with the same squad he is carrying for the last three weeks.

Match facts:

Stoke are unbeaten in their last four home Premier League games against Manchester United (W2 D2) since losing four of their first five between 2008-09 and 2012-13.

Mark Hughes is unbeaten in his last three league meetings with Jose Mourinho (W1 D2 L0).

Predicted Line-up:

Stoke City: Butland; Zouma, Shawcross, Wimmer; Diouf, Fletcher, Allen, Pieters; Shaqiri, Jese; Berahino.

Manchester United: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Blind; Matic, Pogba; Mata, Mkhitaryan, Martial; Lukaku.

TV guide:

The match will kick off at 10.00 pm IST at the bet365 Stadium and the Indian viewers can tune in to Star Sports Select HD1/Star Sports Select1 for live actions.
