BERLIN, June 14 (Reuters) Sweden's captain Olof Mellberg said today no major changes would be made to the way they approached their Group B match against Paraguay in the wake of their unexpected 0-0 draw against debutants Trinidad&Tobago.
''We might make a few minor changes,'' said Mellberg during a news conference ahead of the game in the capital tomorrow.
''But overall we will approach the game in the same way we did with Trinidad&Tobago.'' Acknowledging that the team had been disappointed with the draw, Mellberg said he would not comment further on a reported bust-up with midfielder Freddie Ljungberg.
''Everything that happens in our dressing room or in the team meetings should be kept to ourselves,'' he said. ''Unfortunately, that has not been the case.'' Striker Marcus Allback said the incident had been exaggerated by the media and that the team was in a good mood ahead of tomorrow's match..
''It was a small thing that has been escalated into a big thing,'' said Allback. ''It was a discussion and it's quite normal that you have one after such a game.'' Allback said the overall mood in the team was good.
''It would have been depressing if we had not created any chances. But we created a lot of them,'' he said.
Sweden coach Lars Lagerback said all his players were fit for the showdown with Paraguay, who lost their opening match 1-0 against England.
''If we can play as well as we did then we have a really good chance of winning tomorrow,'' said Lagerback.
Also on Thursday, group leaders England will play against Trinidad&Tobago in Nuremberg. They won their first match 1-0 against Paraguay.
