Germany scored a 92nd-minute goal to secure their passage to the Round of 16 as Group A winners against Switzerland on Sunday (June 2023).
The Frankfurt Arena saw drama at the end as the hosts sealed their summit status in the Euro 2024 Group A. Dan Ndoye gave the Swiss a shock lead in the first half, but Niclas Fullkrug headed the ball in to give the Germans a huge respite.

It was not the best night for the German players and here are the ratings of the Germany boys.
Manuel Neuer had a moderate day out in the match against Switzerland. He didn't make a lot of saves but he kept out Granit Xhaka with a fantastic save. The veteran was not at fault for the goal as Dan Ndoye scored from a very close range.
Rating: 6.5/10
Joshua Kimmich was not at his offensive best. The right-back made a lot of forward runs but his crosses were mostly wayward. Kimmich got a glorious opportunity to score but saw his shot get superbly blocked by Manuel Akanji. His passing and defensive play were pretty good though.
Rating: 7/10
Antonio Rudiger won the most amount of duels in the match. He was a huge figure at the back and made some decent tackles. He also had a chance from a header but wasted it.
Rating: 6/10
Jonathan Tah played well but a moment of mistake earned him a Yellow Card, which means the centre back won't be playing in the Round of 16 match. He was taken off in the hour mark.
Rating: 6/10
The left-back has been a surprise addition for Germany in this Euros but again had a decent game. Mittelstaedt was not prolific with his overlapping runs but was defensively decent. Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann took him off in the hour mark.
Rating: 6/10
Robin Andrich always had a presence for Die Mannschaft. He found the net early in the match but the goal was chalked off for a foul. Following that, Andrich took a few shots which were mainly wayward. He was constantly a threat from the midfield for Germany.
Rating: 6/10
Toni Kroos, as always, had a fantastic match. Kroos was the playmaker for Germany as he orchestrated the moves for the hosts. He had a few decent crosses not converted. Overall, the veteran had a decent personal outing.
Rating: 7/10
Jamal Musiala tried his best but it wasn't the best night for the German sensation. The 21-year-old created four chances but none of them were guilt-edge opportunities.
Rating: 5.5/10
Ilkay Gundogan had an underwhelming outing. The Barcelona midfielder couldn't control the proceedings and was overshadowed by the Swiss midfielders.
Rating: 5/10
Florian Wirtz did his job in bits and pieces but lacked pace and accuracy. The Bayer Leverkusen winger struggled to make inroads in the Switzerland defence and was taken off in the 76th minute. But in between, he created one big chance of the match which was not taken.
Rating: 6/10
Kai Havertz had a poor day. The Arsenal striker failed to convert his chances and looked unsettled in front of goal. His hold-up play and work rate were excellent as it always is, but he failed to play any significant part in the offence.
Rating: 5.5/10
The game changer Niclas Fullkrug was being used as a Target Man and he did his job tremendously. Fullkrug scored the equalizing goal for Die Mannschaft with a fantastic header, which is his 13th goal for Germany in just 19 appearances.
Rating: 8.5/10
David Raum's attacking threat from the left-back position brought the result for Germany as he got the assist for the Fullkrug goal. The 26-year-old played a big part in rescuing Germany's top status in the group.
Rating: 8/10
**Leroy Sane (6.5/10), Nico Schlotterbeck (6/10) and Maximilian Beier (6/10) also came on as substitutes for Germany.
