Tajon Buchanan has secured a permanent move to Villarreal from Inter after an impressive loan stint last season. The 26-year-old winger has committed to a five-year contract with the LaLiga team and will join their pre-season training immediately. During his loan, Buchanan played 13 matches for Villarreal, scoring once and assisting twice.
Before his time in Spain, Buchanan was part of the New England Revolution in MLS and later moved to Club Brugge in Belgium. His international career includes 51 appearances for Canada, where he participated in all three of their 2022 World Cup matches. Recently, he scored three goals during Canada's CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign.
