Tammy Abraham Seals Permanent Besiktas Transfer Ahead Of Aston Villa Move

Tammy Abraham completes a permanent transfer from Roma to Besiktas, triggering a EUR 13 million fee and setting the stage for his reported return to Aston Villa. The deal follows a productive 2025-26 loan, where Abraham contributed goals and experience as Besiktas prepared for Villa’s recruitment cycle.

Tammy Abraham is set for a fresh spell at Aston Villa after Besiktas activated a permanent move from Roma, while reports in England state Villa plan to sign the striker for around 18m in the current window.

Besiktas initially took Abraham on loan from Roma for the 2025-26 season, with an option to buy set at 11.2m. The Turkish club have now confirmed that clause, turning the 28-year-old’s stay into a permanent transfer.

Roma are due a higher payment than the initial option figure after conditions were triggered during the loan. Besiktas announced: "The conditions in the transfer contract of Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham have been fulfilled and the provision for the permanent transfer of the player has come into effect, said Besiktas. In this context, a transfer fee of 13m euros will be paid to AS Roma."

Abraham’s form in Turkey has rebuilt his market value, with 12 goals in 24 matches for Besiktas. That return, across domestic and European fixtures, has attracted Aston Villa, who are preparing to bring the forward back to Birmingham for a second spell.

Abraham previously enjoyed a productive season with Aston Villa in 2018-19 while on loan from Chelsea. The striker hit 26 goals and supplied three assists, playing a major part as Villa secured promotion back to the Premier League.

After leaving Chelsea permanently in 2021, Abraham joined Roma and scored 39 goals in 120 appearances for the Serie A side. During that time, Abraham also helped Roma lift the Europa Conference League trophy in 2022 under coach Jose Mourinho.

The confirmed 13m euro payment from Besiktas to Roma, and the expected 18m deal with Aston Villa, means Abraham’s future appears set in England again, while Roma receive a solid fee and Besiktas secure profit from the arrangement.
