This is the fourth time the Southeast Asian nation will face the Arab side, who won the previous two encounters by a margin of 5-2 in the Asian Cup in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Thailand's sole win against Lebanon came in 2009 at the King's Cup, when the hosts triumphed 2-1. Thailand, however, have struggled in international football off late with back-to-back four unfavourable results in three losses and a draw.
