Saul Crespo is set to extend his stay at East Bengal with a two-year contract, the club announced on Tuesday (June 11).
Saul Crespo, who joined the club last season, played a crucial part as the Red and Gold Brigade managed their best finish in the Indian Super League.

During his first season at the Kolkata club, Crespo found the found the net in three consecutive matches against Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC respectively. In the away match against Kerala Blasters, Crespo set the record for the most passes into the final third (22) by an East Bengal player in the league.
The 27-year-old ended the season with 7 goals across all competitions and won the Kalinga Super Cup with the Kolkata giants. The Spaniard will be hoping to play a bigger mark next season. With the current deal, Crespo is set to stay at the club till the end of the 2025-26 season.
Emami East Bengal FC Head Coach Carles Cuadrat said, "Saul is an important player in the team composition. His best moments during the past season helped us achieve our best performances. If Saul commands the midfield, our attackers receive the right balls to create problems for the opponents."
Crespo was also elated to continue his journey with the Kolkata club and expressed his happiness.
"I am very happy to continue my journey with this historic club. This team is my family now. I've received a lot of love from the fans and I am grateful to them for their continued support," Crespo said.
