Berlin, Sep 12: Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has conceded that he considered leaving the Bundesliga champions for Manchester United in 2015 transfer window.

The World Cup top scorer was a €100million target for United under Louis van Gaal in 2015, with the Red Devils bidding an extra ordinary amount for the German forward which was later turned down.

The German has been linked to the Premier League through the last couple of seasons, however, Bayern has always maintained their stance on the transfer which is that he is not for sale at any cost.

Recently, Muller was again being linked with a move away from the club and in a recent interview, the 27-year-old has uncovered that he earlier considered making a move to Old Trafford two years prior but till now he feels “comfortable” at the club.

"There was a point, two years ago, when this was an issue when I thought about it," he told Kicker. "But the club immediately supported me and they told me, I belonged here.

"When Bayern told me they needed me and how I am an important player, I did not have to think that much anymore."

However, Muller also underlined that he is not dismissing any possibility of any future transfer from the club and will be open to offers in future.

"Of course, it's possible," he said. "When my time is up, it's up. [Bastian] Schweinsteiger was here for over 10 years and now he's been gone for over two years and another player is here instead.

"It will be exactly the same with me. If I drop dead tomorrow, there will be a funeral, yet on Friday, 11 players will still be out on the pitch. That's life.

"At the moment, I don't think it's going to happen because I am very happy here. However, I'm not saying that somewhere different in the world definitely wouldn't be my thing either.

"If life takes you somewhere else then I would make myself at home there as well. I would follow the same principle as here, enjoying as many good things as possible every day."

Muller, who got through Bayern's Academy system has shown up for the first team for nearly 400 times, scoring 177 times and winning six Bundesliga titles and one Champions league medal. He is contracted to the club until 2021.
