Three possible destinations for Jurgen Klopp after leaving Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp shattered the hearts of Liverpool fans by announcing that he will be leaving the Reds at the end of the season. The German manager insisted that he is not being able to find the energy to manage a club of Liverpool’s stature any more and stressed that he needed a break from management.

It’s unclear how long he will be on a 'sabbatical’ and there are even chances that he might even decide to hang up his coaching badges for good as well. In this article, we will take a look at three jobs Klopp could take once he decides to come back to management.

Jurgen Klopp

Germany

Germany have been on the wane since their FIFA World Cup triumph in 2014. Klopp had been linked with the Germany job a number of times in the past and it could be finally time that he takes up the job to bring Germany back to the zenith of European and World football once again.

Managing a national team is not as demanding as managing a club which requires plenty of work day in day out. So, it could be ideal for Klopp who is probably looking for a bit more relaxed job.

Real Madrid

Real Madrid recently extended Carlo Ancelotti’s deal until 2026 and Klopp will have two years of break if he does not take a job by then. Real Madrid reportedly admire the Liverpool manager since a long time and with the resources he will have at the Santiago Bernabeu, Klopp could build a dynasty at the Spanish capital club.

Barcelona

Jurgen Klopp is know for rebuilding his teams and turn them into challengers on every front with very limited resources. Barcelona don’t enjoy the financial resources anymore that they once did and this makes Klopp the perfect choice for the Blaugrana.

With Xavi Hernandez leaving at the end of the season, Barcelona will need to look for a new manager and it’s unlikely that Klopp will be available. However, if things don’t work with the next manager, Klopp could be available then and could help the Catalan giants get back to where they belong.
