Three players Arsenal could sell in the summer to refresh their squad

Mikel Arteta has done a phenomenal job at Arsenal having taken over at the club during their bad times. The Gunners have gone from strength to strength with Arteta in charge at the club and are now challenging for the Premier League title for the second season in a row.

However, they could still go a long way with the right recruitment and for that, they might have to part ways with a few players in the summer.

Three players Arsenal could sell in the summer to refresh their squad

Here, we will take a look at three players Arsenal should look to offload in the summer to refresh their squad.

Emile Smith Rowe

Emile Smith Rowe looked like an elite talent when he came through the Gunners’ youth ranks and emerged as a key player under Mikel Arteta. He was assigned the number ten shirt at the club which speaks volumes about how highly he was regarded. However, the last couple of years has been forgettable for Smith Rowe as he has battled with injuries and now finds himself as just a squad player. With his talent, he should be looking to start as many games as possible and a move away from the Emirates looks essential for him.

Reiss Nelson

A similar story to that of his fellow academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson has also struggled for playing time this season. The versatile attacker has no shortage of talent and can still become a key player at another club if he decides to leave Arsenal. The Gunners should also be looking to let go of the winger to bring someone who can compete with Saka and Martinelli for places.

Jakub Kiwior

Jakub Kiwior has been a squad player for Arsenal following his move from Spezia in the summer of 2023. He has played at both centre-back and left-back and has done pretty well on most occasions. However, the young defender continues to be in demand from a host of clubs across Europe and should ideally be looking to move for regular first-team football.
