Chelsea have spent over a billion pounds since Todd Boehly took over at the club after Roman Abramovich’s long tenure at the club. However, despite their lavish spending, the Blues have struggled to perform on the pitch.
They finished 12th last season and find themselves in 11th place right now as results have been up and down for the club. As Chelsea look likely to miss out on Champions League football yet again, things look messy for the club financially and they will need to balance their books if they have to comply with FFP regulations.

We can expect Chelsea to offload several players this summer and here, we will take a look at three such players.
Conor Gallagher
Home-grown midfielder Conor Gallagher has been widely linked with an exit from Chelsea during the last two transfer windows. He was targeted by Newcastle United last summer while Tottenham Hotspur were keen on the Englishman in January although a move failed to materialise.
Despite the Blues’ major investment to revamp their midfield ranks with the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia joining, Gallagher has remained a key player for his boyhood club but his time at Stamford Bridge could be up in the summer.
Thiago Silva
Thiago Silva remains a top-class defender even at the age of 39 as the Brazilian has shown no signs of age catching up with him. Silva has been almost ever present in the Chelsea starting XI this season but his contract is up in the summer. It will be interesting to see whether the Blues decide to tie him down with a new deal but as per reports, they might be ready to part ways with the former AC Milan and PSG star.
Armando Broja
Broja, another youth graduate of Chelsea, found it hard to gr game time during the first half of the season and was loaned out to Fulham in January after Chelsea struggled to find a buyer on a permanent basis.
However, a summer exit looks likely to be on the cards for the Albania international as he is clearly not good enough for the Blues. A move to a mid table Premier League club could be on the cards but Chelsea must be realistic with their asking price for the 22-year-old.
