Brentford’s in-form goalkeeper David Raya has decided to put any contract talks on hold after rejecting a new deal fuelling the speculation about the summer exit further.

The Spanish shot-stopper will have just one year left on his current deal and could be available for a generous fee.

Since helping Brentford to gain a promotion in 2021, Raya has been one of the best keepers in the League and his meteoric rise has now attracted several big names.

Not only a very good shot-stopper but also much has been said of the player's use of the ball with his feet. With already proving with his worth in the top division a change in scenario is now expected. The Bees are eager to tie him down with a new contract however it is understood that Raya is looking for a better challenge amid interest from these Premier League bigwigs.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur will be on the lookout this summer for a potential long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris. Even though Lloris has been a dependable servant of the club, it is high time to change the guard. At 36, Lloris is unquestionably entering the latter stages of his career, losing his golden touch. Lloris has been receiving criticism for his subpar performances this season. He now leads all Premier League players in mistakes that result in goals this season. According to speculations, Antonio Conte has already become weary of this outcome and has ordered the team to move quickly to find a replacement. Tottenham have reportedly created a list of potential alternatives in case the 36-year-old is replaced and Raya appears to be the most desired.

Manchester United

Regardless of what happens with David De Gea, Manchester United plans to look for a new goalkeeper next summer. David de Gea has been the club's top choice of the current season, despite finding it difficult to keep up with the demands of a sweeper keeper. The Spanish keeper has improved but it is understood that Ten Hag still wants betterment. For that reason, it is understood that United will make a move for a goalkeeper next summer. Raya is one of the contenders for the position. He could be a better choice between the posts than De Gea since he is at comfortable playing out from the back and is one of the finest shot-stoppers in the league.

Chelsea

Chelsea shot-stoppers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy have both struggled for form this season, which could see Graham Potter target a new goalkeeper in the summer. Moreover, as per rumors, Edouard Mendy could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer forcing Chelsea to look out for a new keeper. Raya's impressive performances have certainly caught their attention as well and Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on him.
