Three Premier League stars who could be on their way to Saudi Arabia in the summer

The Saudi Pro League has seen a huge influx of top players from Europe over the last year and a half since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023. Several big names have followed him to Saudi Arabia and the movement is likely to continue.

Premier League has also seen some of its senior star players such as Roberto Firmino, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves among others move to Middle East and here, we will take a look at three superstars who could be follwoing the trend in the summer.

Son Heung-min

Son Heung-min is right up there as one of the best players in the Premier League and is arguably the greatest Asian player of all time as well. Even in his thirties, he remains a force to reckon with and has been the star attacker for Tottenham Hotspur following Harry Kane’s departure for Bayern Munich. The South Korea international has reportedly emerged as a major target for Saudi sides a move could well be on the cards in the summer.

Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best players in the world every time he steps on to the pitch. However, the Belgian maestro has struggled with injury problems of late. He had been linked with a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia and could well call it a time in the Premier League because of his fitness issues. A superstar in his own right, signing someone like De Bruyne would be a huge statement for Saudi Arabian football.

Mohamed Salah

It is no secret that Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is the dream signing for the Saudi Arabian sides. He is arguably the greatest player ever from an Arab country and bringing him would be a huge boost for the Saudi Pro League. Al-Ittihad made a number of failed attempts to sign the Egyptian King last summer but with his contract expiring in 2025, Liverpool could cash in this summer for the 31-year-old especially with a new era beckoning with Jurgen Klopp also on his way out.
