Three reasons why Liverpool are favorites for the Premier League title

Liverpool made a statement by absolutely demolishing Bournemouth 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, January 21. With their victory against the in-form Cherries, Liverpool have now extended their lead at the top of the table to five points.

While Jurgen Klopp’s side were not considered title challengers at the start of the season due to various reasons, they are proving their doubters wrong and look to be getting stronger and stronger as the season has progressed. In this article, we will take a look at why they are in fact the favorites for the title this season.

Liverpool

An Elite Mentality

Liverpool have been mentality monsters under Jurgen Klopp and have shown it almost every week this season. They have faced so many challenges this season from being plagued by injuries to their players being wrongly sent off and even seeing their legit goals being ruled out.

However, they seem to have the answer to everything and have lost just once this season, which is a controversial one against Tottenham Hotspur. Jurgen Klopp’s side look far superior compared to their rivals in terms of mentality and that could be a huge factor in the title race.

Jurgen Klopp’s game management

Jurgen Klopp has been exceptional this season with his in-game management and substitutions which is why Liverpool look like a different team in the second half in almost every game. Klopp’s game management has seen the Reds win so many difficult games this season that it now looks exceptionally easy for them. The Liverpool manager deserves every bit of plaudit for this and this could see them win the title this season.

A Full and Healthy Team after Injury Woes

Liverpool have been terribly unlucky with injuries this season and on top of that, they are also missing Mohamed Salah and Waturu Endo right now due to international tournaments. Liverpool can only get stronger as their star players come back from injuries and from national teams and should be confident of their chances. They are a team in transition and still leading the table which is absolutely phenomenal.
