Liverpool, November 26: After surrendering a 3-goal lead to Sevilla in the midweek in the Champions League, Liverpool once again conceded a late goal against Chelsea to draw the game 1-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday (November 25).
Liverpool got their lead through in-form winger Mohamed Salah who took his goals tally to 15 this season. Chelsea came back into the game thanks to a ludicrous chip from Willian who probably did not even mean it.
Chelsea will surely be the happier side after the game but Liverpool fans will be frustrated after managing to take just one point yet again from winning position.
Here are three talking points from the game-
Alberto Moreno proved why Klopp keeps faith in him
After a horrible second half display against Sevilla in the midweek, Alberto Moreno was still defended by his manager Jurgen Klopp who claimed that he still had '100 per cent’ in the Spaniard.
The Spaniard came under fire after his display in Seville in midweek, being at fault for one goal and giving away a penalty in his former side’s fightback but he was excellent against Chelsea throughout the game and did not falter on even a single occasion.
Salah makes Chelsea regret
Mohamed Salah has become the latest name in the list of players Chelsea let go who have become great players and made the club regret. The Egyptian scored against his former club on Saturday to make them regret once again.
There is no doubt that the Egyptian has grown enormously as a footballer. His initial loan spell at Fiorentina helped rediscover his confidence and his two years at Roma helped him become more intelligent, stronger and, quite simply, a better all-round attacker.
Eden Hazard is a gem of a player
Chelsea started the game very slow and Conte’s approach to the game was evidently to hit Liverpool on the break and despite the opponents enjoy the lion’s share of possession, Chelsea were the better when it came to attempts on goal and it was all thanks to their Belgian maestro Eden Hazard.
Hazard, on his day, is unstoppable and yesterday, he was at his best when it came to taking defenders on and creating chances for his team. The free role Conte has given him certainly helps him but one might feel that when you have a player of Hazard’s caliber, why play on the backfoot!
