As Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund lock horns for UEFA Champions League supremacy, it will also bring about the swansong of two German stars.
Toni Kroos and Marco Reus - two legends of the game will be playing their final matches for their respective clubs.

Toni Kroos, a magician in the midfield, is set to retire from football after Euro 2024. The Real Madrid midfielder thus will play his final club game on Saturday. Similarly, Marco Reus is also set to leave Dortmund at the end of this season. The German forward is set to play his final match for the club, where he stayed for 12 seasons.
Amid the emotional swansong, there is a European crown up for grabs. Reus has had a moderate season this year. The 35-year-old has netted 9 goals and has 7 assists in 41 appearances this season. He featured only 41 minutes across two legs in the semifinal.
Kroos, on the other hand, had yet another superb season for Real Madrid. The central midfielder has played 47 matches this season and has orchestrated the Spanish club to yet another LALIGA title. The 34-year-old was also much involved in their Champions League campaign this season.
In the Champions League final, Kroos and Reus will definitely have a lot to play for. When it comes to gracing the stage, Kroos has seen it all having won the Champions League many times in the past. For Reus, this is a new stage and he would love to end his stint at Dortmund with the European glory.
But who will make a bigger impact in the match? Well, although Marco Reus can change the course of the match with a goal, it looks like Toni Kroos will have a bigger impact.
The veteran will be sitting in the central position of midfield and dictate the pace of the match. With someone like Aurelien Tchouameni or Luka Modrid as partner, Kroos is likely to play an advanced role but his primary job will be to break lines and make forward movements with his supreme ball retention ability.
Reus hasn't been regular for the German club in Champions League, and is likely to come on as a substitute for them. He has played as a central attacking midfielder and can make a telling impact as well.
"I think I will have to side with Toni Kroos for the prime example of Real Madrid being the team in form. Apart from the fact that, you know, Toni Kroos is a player over the past decade that's always personified peak performance and to do that over a decade is commendable," former India striker Robin Singh said during a media interaction.
"Marco Reus is definitely an ambassador for loyalty, being at one club for, you know, his whole career, being a part of injuries, being a part of sides that have won and sides that have lost," he added conceding the fact that Toni Kroos still is the man to have a bigger impact.
