London, Sep 2: The summer transfer window is finally over and it was a tremendously exciting one all across Europe. We saw some amazing deals taking place this summer, with the world-record transfer fee broken as Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona.

We saw a massive spending in English Premier League with plenty of massive deals taking place. In this article, we will list the top five transfers that took place this summer.


5. Wayne Rooney to Everton from Manchester United

Former England skipper Wayne Rooney made an emotional return to his boyhood club Everton after achieving everything possible at Manchester United. The 31-year-old had a memorable 13-year stint with the Red Devils but every fairy tale has to have an ending.

Rooney’s second stint with Everton has had a flying start as Rooney has proved he still has plenty of football left in him and could still offer a lot to Koeman’s ambitious side.

Arsenal shattered their own club record when they signed French international forward Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for a fee believed to be worth around £52.7m.

The Frenchman has been a regular goalscoring threat in Ligue 1 over the years for Lyon and has started his Arsenal career on a decent note.

Chelsea completed the club-record signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a fee believed to be worth around £70m. Antonio Conte has reunited with the Spaniard whom he had managed at Juventus formerly and the move has already looked like a massive hit.

Morata has started his Chelsea career amazingly well and looks like he will lead Chelsea’s attack for many years to come.

Liverpool signed Egyptian international winger Mohamed Salah from Roma after his scintillating season with Roma. The quick and tricky winger has had a dream start to his Liverpool career and it looks like Klopp has made a pretty bargain buy.

Touted as the 'Egyptian Messi’, Salah has offers a great deal of threat from the right wing and is a regular goal threat and thanks to him, Liverpool arguably have the best attack in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old was signed for a massive fee but given his records and his age, he will surely justify his hefty price tag.
