Tottenham Faces Defeat As Harry Wilson's Goal Secures Fulham's 2-1 Victory

Fulham secured a 2-1 victory over Tottenham with Harry Wilson's stunning goal. The defeat adds pressure on manager Thomas Frank following recent losses.

Harry Wilson's remarkable goal secured Fulham a 2-1 victory over Tottenham, adding to Spurs' woes. Fulham took the lead early when Samuel Chukwueze's pass found Kenny Tete, whose shot deflected off Destiny Udogie and beat Vicario. Spurs fell further behind in unusual circumstances as Guglielmo Vicario's clearance went straight to Josh King, who set up Wilson for a simple finish.

Fulham nearly extended their lead before half-time. Chukwueze hit the post and forced a crucial tackle from Micky van de Ven. Despite these chances, Spurs improved after the break. Randal Kolo Muani narrowly missed with a header, and Mohammed Kudus scored with a powerful volley past Bernd Leno.

Fulham Defeats Tottenham 2-1 in Premier League

Spurs faced significant pressure following heavy losses to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, conceding nine goals in six days. Their poor start against Fulham saw them concede twice within the first six minutes, marking their earliest 2-0 deficit in a home Premier League match. This added to their defensive troubles.

Offensively, Spurs struggled as well. They failed to register a shot on target until Kudus' goal and managed only 0.02 expected goals (xG) in the first half. Over three halves of Premier League play, they accumulated just 0.09 xG, having recorded only 0.07 xG against Arsenal previously.

Despite Spurs' second-half improvement, Fulham held firm to secure the win. Raul Jimenez cleared Lucas Bergvall's header off the line, while Kolo Muani's backheel found the side netting. Fulham's defence remained resolute as they moved within one point of their hosts.

The match ended with boos from Spurs fans as Fulham celebrated their victory. The result left Tottenham struggling at home this season, having amassed only 8.0 xG compared to Burnley's league-low of 7.0 xG at home.

This defeat highlighted Spurs' ongoing issues both defensively and offensively. Despite winning the second-half xG battle with 0.86 compared to Fulham's 0.42, they couldn't overcome their early setbacks.

The loss added more pressure on Thomas Frank's side as they continued to face criticism from supporters after recent performances against top teams like Arsenal and PSG.
