Tottenham Hotspur embarked on a significant squad overhaul during the 2024 summer transfer window, reflecting manager Ange Postecoglou’s vision for a rejuvenated and competitive team. With a mix of high-profile signings and strategic departures, Spurs have laid the groundwork for a new challenge this summer.
The most notable move of the summer was the long-awaited replacement for Harry Kane, with Tottenham smashing their transfer record to bring in Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for a staggering £65 million. The 26-year-old striker, who enjoyed a prolific season in the Premier League, is seen as the ideal candidate to lead the line for Spurs as they aim to climb back into the top four.

In addition to Solanke, Spurs secured the services of highly-rated Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray for £40 million. The 18-year-old is regarded as one of England’s brightest prospects and is expected to play a key role in Postecoglou's midfield.
Tottenham also continued their focus on youth development by signing Wilson Odobert from Burnley for £30 million and Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden for £8.5 million. Both players are considered future stars and will be integrated into the first-team setup.
Furthermore, Spurs extended Timo Werner's loan from RB Leipzig for another season, adding depth and versatility to their attacking options. The club also secured a deal for South Korean youngster Yang Min-hyeok from Gangwon FC, who will join in January 2025 for £3.4 million.
To balance the books and make room for new signings, Tottenham executed a series of high-profile departures. The club offloaded several underperformers, as well as young players needing experience through loan deals.
Oliver Skipp's transfer to Leicester City for £20 million was the biggest outgoing deal, signaling the club's intent to trim its midfield options. Other notable exits include Emerson Royal, who joined AC Milan for €15 million, and Giovani Lo Celso, who moved to Real Betis for €4 million with an option to include Johnny Cardoso in a future deal.
Tottenham also released several experienced players, including Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, and Tanguy Ndombele, whose contracts were not renewed.
