Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma has apologised after a video of him inhaling Nitrous Oxide got viral on social media.
The footballer is facing an internal investigation by his club after a video surfaced on social media showing him inhaling from a balloon containing nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas.

Nitrous oxide possession for recreational use has been illegal in Britain since 2023. This law is part of the Government's anti-social behaviour action plan and can lead to imprisonment.
But the player uploaded a video by himself bafflingly, which has caused uproar. His club Tottenham also announced an internal investigation and may take subsequent action.
A Tottenham spokesperson commented, "We are looking into the events. This will be dealt with as an internal matter."
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton in 2022 and has made 56 appearances for the club. During the 2023/24 season, he started in 26 matches. After the controversy, the Mali international has now apologized for the video.
"I want to apologise for these videos. This was a severe lack of judgement," Bissouma said in a statement on Monday. He acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and the associated health risks.
"I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously," the 27-year-old added.
Despite its recreational misuse, nitrous oxide can be used legitimately in catering or for pain relief during labour. It is to be seen if the Tottenham midfielder is reprimanded for his misuse of the Class C drug.
