Tottenham vs Arsenal: North London Derby First Half sees Unique Record which never happened in Premier League

Arsenal secured a monumental win over Tottenham a feisty North London derby in the Premier League on Sunday (September 15).

Gabriel Magalhaes scored the solitary goal of the match as the Gunners registered their third consecutive away win at the Tottenham base, renewing a 36-year-old record.

The first half saw some excellent goal-mouth action as both Arsenal and Tottenham came close to scoring. David Raya had to make a couple of decent saves, whereas Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz were denied by Tottenham keeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Apart from quality on the field, the North London derby's first half hasn't disappointed in terms of actions. There were sliding tackles, bust-ups among players, and a host of Yellow Cards.

Referee Jarred Gillett has officiated the match pretty decently and hasn't been shy of showing Yellow Cards.

In the first half of the NLD, a total of seven cards were shown. Two Arsenal players and Five Tottenham players got their names taken in the referee's notebook, which is the most in the history of the Premier League.

Arsenal's William Saliba got the first of the match after stopping a quick free kick. Tottenham joined late in the scene but quickly overtook Arsenal's card tally. Dejan Kulusevski and Micky van de Ven were shown the card together in the injury minutes of the first half.

In the second half, Tottenham started brightly but the away side took control soon. From a corner, Gabriel rose the highest and thumped in a terrific header into the back of the net. With the win, the Gunners now move up to 2nd in the points table with 10 points in four matches.
