Transfer Deadline Day Round-Up: Enzo set for Man City, Chelsea's bid rejected, Arsenal to announce four deals

Transfer Deadline Day has entered its decisive phase, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal at the centre of some of the biggest moves and late twists.

From a blockbuster midfield switch to multiple exits and a major youth signing, the final hours are proving as dramatic as expected.

Transfer Deadline Day Round-Up Enzo set for Man City Chelsea s bid rejected Arsenal to announce four deals

Enzo Fernandez closing in on Manchester City

Manchester City are pushing ahead with their move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, with the Argentine understood to be close to joining Pep Guardiola's side. City's bid of more than £120 million was initially rejected, but negotiations have continued and reports now suggest the clubs have reached an agreement in principle on a deal worth around €140 million plus add-ons.

The move would reunite Fernandez with Enzo Maresca, his former Chelsea manager, who is now leading City's project. Chelsea, meanwhile, have been working urgently to identify a replacement.

Chelsea face Manu Kone hurdle

Roma midfielder Manu Kone has emerged as one of Chelsea's preferred options to fill the potential Fernandez void. However, Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini is strongly opposed to losing the France international at such a late stage of the window. Chelsea and Roma have discussed a deal worth around £52 million, but Gasperini remains a significant obstacle.

Chelsea have also suffered a setback with Lamine Camara, with Monaco rejecting their £38.5 million offer.

Honest Ahanor joins Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed an agreement to sign highly-rated Atalanta defender Honest Ahanor. The 18-year-old will officially move to Stamford Bridge next summer in a deal understood to be worth around £40 million, before spending the 2026-27 campaign on loan at Crystal Palace.

Arsenal prepare for major departures

Arsenal are also expected to have a busy final day, with Gabriel Martinelli heading to Al Hilal, Gabriel Jesus moving to Barcelona and Fabio Vieira joining Hamburg. Ethan Nwaneri is also set to leave on loan for Borussia Dortmund.

With several departures creating room in the squad, Arsenal could still pursue an attacking addition before the 11pm deadline.

Man United need defenders

Manchester United have been advised to bring in more defenders ahead of deadline day, but it looks not very possible for now. The Red Devils desperately need a left back, but Michael Carrick may not be able to land a deal ahead of today's stipulated time.
