Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas is determined to secure every trophy this season after marking his 100th appearance for the club against West Ham. Tsimikas stepped in for Andy Robertson during Liverpool's 5-0 victory at the London Stadium, making his second appearance since recovering from an ankle injury sustained in November. The Greek international has often served as a backup to Robertson, with his most active season being 2022-23, where he played 20 matches.
Throughout his time at Liverpool, Tsimikas has contributed 17 assists but is yet to score in a competitive match since joining from Olympiacos in 2020. He did, however, score the decisive penalty in Liverpool's FA Cup triumph over Chelsea in 2022 and assisted Virgil van Dijk's winner against Chelsea in the EFL Cup final last season. With three trophies already under his belt at Anfield, Tsimikas is eager to add more silverware as Liverpool leads both the Premier League and Champions League tables.

"I'm 100 per cent sure I want to win everything. I think this team can win everything, so every competition ahead is clear for us," Tsimikas stated. "We have to win every single game we have ahead and [try] to win every competition. We set our goals from the start of the season and the only thing we have to do is exactly that, to go out there and show to the world we are good players, we play incredible football and we win football matches."
Tsimikas also praised Mohamed Salah's impressive start to the season. The Egyptian forward broke records against West Ham by becoming the first Liverpool player to reach 20 goals in eight consecutive seasons. Additionally, Salah scored and assisted in a Premier League match for the eighth time this season—a league record.
Salah has been involved in 52 goals across all competitions in 2024 (29 goals and 23 assists), surpassing any other player in Europe's top five leagues. "I see him more hungry for the Premier League and every competition," said Tsimikas. "I think he wants to show everybody that at this time we are now, he is the best football player in the world."
Liverpool's next challenge is against rivals Manchester United at Anfield. Salah aims to continue his dominance over Ruben Amorim's side. He has scored more goals (12) and provided more assists (six) against Manchester United than any other player in Premier League history.
"For me personally, he is," Tsimikas added about Salah's prowess. "The things he does inside the pitch are incredible, the numbers he does every game, and especially on the training ground with all the work he puts in. He deserves everything, and I'm really happy for him."
