'Under fire' Terry's 'blips' allow Everton to sneak win over Chelsea

By Super Admin

London, Feb 11 (ANI): Chelsea skipper John Terry has finally showed the strain last night as his blunders gifted Everton ace Louis Saha two match-winning goals.

Terry flies to Dubai today to try to save his marriage.

And with the Blues now just one point clear in the title race, assistant boss Ray Wilkins said: "John has been outstanding for us all season. If losing was down to his mistakes, it was the slightest of blips."

"There was just a slight lack of concentration for the first goal, a good delivery and a good header. It's a shame. It keeps happening at set-pieces but we work hard at them.

"Give Louis Saha credit, too. He is a very tough opponent to play against," The Sun quoted Wilkins, as saying.

"John got caught under the ball for the second. He won't play against Cardiff in the FA Cup on Saturday. Carlo Ancelotti has given him time off. They have had a chat and decided that would be best for all concerned," he said.

The axed England captain also saw Saha miss a penalty on half-time.

Everton boss David Moyes said: "I thought Louis played really well tonight. He got two, yet could have had four. So I only gave him a slight pat on the back! But John Terry is a top centre-half. If Chelsea don't want him, I'll take him!" (ANI)
