
Bengaluru, August 30: Federation Cup champions Bengaluru FC have boosted their ranks by roping in Venezuelan international Nicolas Ladislao Fedor Flores alias Miku.
The 32-year-old who signed a two-dear deal with the Blues was plying his trade with La Liga side Rayo Vallecano for the past two-and-a-half years.
The BFC welcomed Miku's arrival on their official Twitter handle.
He brings a wealth of experience to the table as in addition to Rayo Vallecano, he has also played for other Spanish clubs like Valencia Getafe and Celtic. The 6' 1" tall striker also had a brief spell at former Qatar Stars League champions Al Gharafa.
"I'm extremely happy to have secured the services of Miku. He is an exciting player with some great skills and his playing style will help us a lot. Miku has played for several top clubs for a number of years now, and the experience he brings in will be very crucial for us this season," Bengaluru FC coach Albert Roca told the BFC official website.
Ahead of the Indian Super League, Miku becomes the becomes the seventh overseas recruit for BFC this season and he is also the first-ever South American player to join their ranks.
"I have heard a lot about the club and the city. We have some great players in the club who always fight for titles, so I hope it will be a good season for every one of us in Bengaluru.
I spoke to Albert Roca about the club, the league and the team. He's a very good and experienced coach and explained to me what he wants from me for this season. I can't wait to join my team-mates and begin training," said Miku, who in 51 appearances for Venezuela has scored 11 times, including in the group tie against Brazil during the 2015 Copa America in Santiago, Chile.
