Real Madrid have received a huge boost and relief ahead of their Madrid Derby in the Champions League Round of 16 against Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish giants are up for a tough battle in the continental competition, but will be stoked as Vinicius Junior has given positive update regarding his contract situation at the club.

Vinicius Jr. has been in talks with Real Madrid for a contract renewal but the two parties were stuck in negotiations. The Brazilian also reportedly rejected a contract offer from the club and was poised to leave them. But ahead of the Atletico clash, Vinicius has confirmed his willingness to commit his future at the club.
"I am very calm because my contract lasts until 2027 and I hope to renew my contract as soon as possible because I am happy here," Vinicius said at the pre-match press conference of the UCL match.
Since joining Real Madrid in 2018, the 24-year-old Brazilian has been instrumental in the team's success, securing three La Liga titles, two UEFA Champions League trophies, and two FIFA Club World Cups. He recently marked his 300th appearance for Los Blancos, during which he has netted 102 goals across all competitions.
Vinicius also reflected on his journey with the club, saying, "I am living the dream of playing with the best players in the world, the best coach, the best president, the best fans. Here everybody loves me so much. I couldn't be in a better place."
"I have won but I can still win much more and make it into the history of the club. That is very complicated because many good players have been here, legends, and I want to be just like them," the 24-year-old continued.
Real Madrid struggled during the Champions League group stages but then brushed aside Manchester City in the playoffs to earn their place in the Round of 16. As the Spanish giants lock horns against their city rivals, it promises to be a spectacle.
