Goalkeeper Vishal Kaith's twin saves in the shootout propelled the Mohun Bagan to make an exceptional comeback from two goals down to move past Bengaluru FC by 4-3 (2-2 after full-time) to make the cut for the Durand Cup final.
After the game's full-time ended with a 2-2 scoreline, the shootout turned out to be an intense one as both teams gave their best to edge past the other. Vishal Kaith, who played an impressive role in their tie-breaker win against Punjab FC in the quarter-final, stood tall yet again to take his side to the final.

Jason Cummings, Manvir Singh, Liston Colaco, and Dimitri Petratos were the goal-scorers in the shootout while Bengaluru FC's goals came from Edgar Mendez, Rahul Bheke, and Pedro Capo.
Earlier, Bengaluru FC's goals came from legendary footballer Sunil Chhetri, in the 42nd minute, and Vinith Venkatesh, in the 50th minute. On the other hand, Bagan made a spirited comeback, courtesy of goals from Dimitri Petratos, in the 68th minute, and Anirudh Thapa, in the 84th minute.
The 17-time champions Mohun Bagan will lock horns with NorthEast United FC in the grand final on Saturday, August 31.
As soon as Vishal Kaith's twin saves guided the Kolkata-based club to the record 30th final, Twitter heaped praises on the promising goalkeeper and expected his selection in the national team very soon.
