Vitinha Insists Leaving PSG Would Be Foolish Amid Real Madrid Transfer Links

Vitinha argues it would be foolish to depart Paris Saint-Germain as rumours link him with Real Madrid. The Portugal midfielder highlights his strong role under Luis Enrique, his satisfaction with PSG, and his commitment to a stable European career, while his performance metrics remain solid in Ligue 1.

Vitinha has ruled out leaving Paris Saint-Germain, calling any exit a bad decision despite reported interest from Real Madrid and Saudi Arabian clubs. The Portugal midfielder stressed that PSG remains the right place at this stage of a career that already includes major team and individual recognition.

Speaking about current life in Paris, Vitinha underlined the bond with the club and supporters, as well as personal comfort off the pitch. He told Canal 11:
"It would be foolish to leave! I don't think it would be the best thing for me at the moment. I feel very good here at PSG. I love being here at PSG, and so does my family. We have a fantastic group and an incredible coach. I feel that people appreciate me a lot and I feel that I have earned that affection."

Vitinha stays at PSG amid Madrid links

Vitinha has become central to Luis Enrique’s system at PSG, after a season where the club secured a domestic treble. The midfielder’s influence was also recognised individually, as Vitinha finished third in the voting for last year’s Ballon d’Or, highlighting standing among the leading players in Europe.

Links with Real Madrid have grown over recent months, with the Spanish side reportedly tracking the 26-year-old. Despite that reported interest, Vitinha made clear that a transfer is not a priority. The midfielder emphasised that personal happiness and sporting stability outweigh the appeal of a move to Madrid.

Saudi Arabian clubs have also been linked with substantial offers for Vitinha, but the midfielder dismissed a switch to the Middle East. Addressing the financial aspect, Vitinha said:
"Let's not be naive, he said. I'm more committed to having a stable career. I already earn very well here in Europe, at a big club. Doubling or tripling that salary wouldn't make me any happier."

On the pitch, Vitinha’s numbers underline value to PSG in Ligue 1 this season. Vitinha leads the squad with 2,530 touches in the league and has completed 2,177 successful passes, more than any team-mate. The midfielder has also contributed one goal and seven assists in France’s top flight.

Vitinha’s stance leaves PSG in a strong position, with a key player content at the club despite attention from Real Madrid and Saudi Arabian sides. Performances, statistics and public comments all indicate that PSG remains the main focus, as Vitinha continues to anchor midfield for the reigning French champions.
