But Vozinha is not just a footballer, as the Cape Verde star is a coach for a completely different sport. Each summer, Vozinha returns home to coach beach volleyball to children in Cape Verde, a passion that keeps him in peak physical condition.

This year, however, he skipped his annual teaching role to focus entirely on leading his national team at the tournament. The 40-year-old coaches Reis Institute of Cape Verde during off-seasons to keep himself fit.
