London, Jan 24: Just six months after joining La Liga giants Barcelona, Spanish star Gerard Deulofeu could already be on his way out of his boyhood club as reports have emerged that Premier League side West Ham United are plotting an audacious Swoop for the winger in the January transfer window.
West Ham were searching for an attacker in the market for since the last two months and now they seemed to be more hungry in acquiring creative players after three of their star players suffered injury issues.
Starman Marko Arnautovic who registered an impressive six goals and assisted a further three in last 10 games from Hammers suffered a hamstring injury in their last game against Bournemouth which now will make him unavailable for at least three weeks.
Along with him another star playmaker Lanzini also suffered a hamstring injury and has been ruled out up to six weeks whereas earlier first team striker Andy Carrol also endured a foot injury which might see his season over as he has been ruled out for up to three months.
This has opted David Moyes to look for options in the market and now as per reports, Moyes has now targetted the Barcelona man who has been reportedly transferred listed by the club and already approached the Catalan side with a £20m offer.
Deulofeu last year was on loan to Italian side AC Milan from Everton where he shone and registered an impressive four goals and three assists to his name in 17 matches.
Seeing his superb improvement his boyhood club Barcelona decided to bring him back this year at Catalonia and activated his buy-back clause to sign him again for 12 million euros. But since his return to Camp Nou, the winger has been used as a fringe player and is yet to find a consistent starting role under new boss Ernesto Valverde as he made only five starts.
The player has also been reportedly hinted that he is surplus to requirements of Valverde's plan and thus to revive his career, the player is also reportedly looking for a new option to revive his career. Therefore a return to the Premier League now could well be on the cards.
