West Ham vs Manchester United: Diogo Dalot Shocking Open Goal Miss leaves Man United Fans Stunned – Watch

Manchester United travelled to London to face West Ham at London Stadium in an EPL match on Sunday (October 27). Despite a dominant display from the visitors in the first half, they remained goalless. However, Man United fullback Diogo Dalot stunned the world by missing a completely open goal.

United got numerous opportunities to take the lead but failed to convert them. Among those, Dalot had the easiest chance to score for Man United. Instead, he delivered a miss of the season.

Diogo Dalot

The 25-year-old defender had done everything perfectly except the finishing. He made a run from right-back which was picked out by Bruno Fernandes. Then the Portuguese player went past the West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and did something that left the United fans speechless.

From a close distance from the goal, he shot the ball way over the bar and denied United a deserved lead. However, Dalot was not the only one to waste opportunities in the first half, but this miss was by far the worst.

Manchester United also ended up dropping all the points as they lost 1-2 against the Hammers. Crysencio Summerville gave the hosts the lead whereas Casemiro equalized for the Red Devils. But Jarrod Bowen scored from the spot in the 92nd minute and the Red Devils suffered their fourth league defeat in nine matches.

Man United fans react after Dalot Miss

Man United fans are enraged after seeing this and their reactions are all over the social media. Some fans declared it as “the miss of the season”, while some others called it the worst miss they have ever witnessed. Not only the fans, the same despair also resonated with the football pundits. Alan Shearer said, “Dalot’s miss is one of the worst misses in the Premier League era. We’ll be talking about this in 20 years”.
