The Saudi League is currently seeing a close title race in the 2024-25 season. After the first third of the season, the teams are closely stacked at the upper half of the table.
Defending champions Al Hilal currently sit 2nd in the points table with 34 points, while Al Ittihad have emerged as league leaders with 36 points. On the other hand, newly-promoted Al Qadasiya are flying high as they are placed 3rd with 28 points, followed by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr, currently 4th in the standings.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the poster boy of the Saudi Pro League, is having a stellar season with Al Nassr. The Portugal veteran has already netted 10 goals for Al Nassr in the league and has made 2 assists so far in just 12 appearances. Despite his rich vein of form, Al Nassr are 11 points adrift of the current league leaders.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been excellent of late for Al Nassr. He has scored 6 goals in the last four matches across all competitions for his team, but they have managed only two wins out of the last four matches.
Ronaldo scored his latest goal against Al Ittihad in a 1-2 defeat, which happened to be the last competitive involvement for the Portuguese in the calendar year of 2024. But the fans will now have to wait for the turn of new year to see their favourite star again in action.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be available for competitive action again on January 9, 2025 - as Al Nassr host Al Akhdoud in the Saudi Pro League. In the month of January, Al Nassr will play five matches and Ronaldo is expected to play all of the matches.
After the matches on December 7, the Saudi Pro League stopped and will only resume on January 9 next year. The league in the Middle Eastern country has ceased for a month now due to the winter break. Last season, the official break was taken in January, but that has been fast-forwarded to a month this season.
