Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has shed light on the expected return of star forward Mohamed Salah, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury. Salah sustained the injury during Egypt's second group-stage game against Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Despite the injury, the 31-year-old forward opted to delay his return to England for rehabilitation until after the completion of the group stages. Klopp emphasised that Salah would have rejoined the AFCON if he had recovered in time but Egypt's journey came to an end with a heartbreaking loss to DR Congo in the last-16 tie.

As Salah continues his recovery, Klopp confirmed that the Egyptian will be absent for Liverpool's upcoming clash against Chelsea. However, Klopp's recent revelation of Salah back on the training ground, running on the grass, has injected optimism among Liverpool supporters.
The sight of Salah in action has fueled speculation that he might be considered for at least a role in next weekend's fixture against Arsenal. But Klopp, in a pre-match press conference ahead of the Chelsea game, declared the winger unfit for the next two matches.
While Liverpool fans eagerly anticipate Salah's return, Klopp remains cautious about rushing the star player back into action prematurely. The manager's careful approach aligns with the club's commitment to ensuring Salah's full recovery before he resumes competitive play.
So the Liverpool fans may have to wait at least till 10th February to see Salah when the Merseyside giants will face Burnley at home. Salah is Liverpool's top goalscorer this season, with 18 goals and eight assists in all competitions.
