Where will Mohamed Salah operate from at Liverpool FC?

Where will Mohamed Salah play in the Liverpool team combination after he signed a five-year deal with the England club?

Liverpool, June 23: After a long wait, Liverpool FC have finally secured the signing of Mohamed Salah from AS Roma in a deal that could become their club record depending on the exchange rate of the British pound against the euro.

According to sources, Liverpool have splashed around €39 million (£34.3m) for the 25-year-old Egyptian winger who will add a lot to Liverpool's already strong attacking ranks.
Salah signed a five-year deal, one source said, and will wear No. 11, with Roberto Firmino agreeing to move to No. 9.

After completing a medical on Thursday (June 22), Salah becomes Liverpool's second signing of the summer, following Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke.

Mohamed Salah possesses a blistering pace, directness and an amazing vision and can create and score a lot of goals. With his strong counter pressing game, he looks like a tailor-made player in Jurgen Klopp's system.

So, how exactly are Liverpool going line up with him? Considering that it will be a long season with the Reds being in the Champions League, there will be plenty of rotations but does Salah have a place in the strongest Liverpool XI? Well, at the moment he does. Let us discuss where he fits the most.

As a right winger in Klopp's 4-3-3 system

Well, this is clearly Salah's best position. His strengths are his abilities to cut in from the wide areas with his favoured left foot and shoot or to pick up the right pass. In our opinion, Klopp will like to see him on the right flank.

While Sadio Mane picked up the Player of the Season accolade during his debut season on Merseyside by dissecting the opposition from the right wing, he could switch to the left to aid the club's inside creation. The Senegal international is well versed in that position, having thrived there for Red Bull Salzburg.

Given Liverpool's penchant for narrow play from the forwards, it would make sense for the left-footed Salah to function on the right with Mane on the other side of Firmino to engage in damaging diagonal runs.

As a left winger

Liverpool now have a lot of options and the addition of Salah would be a big boost to the Reds who like to destroy opponents through their fast, entertaining and attacking game.
Here is the strongest possible Liverpool lineup at the moment although there will surely be further additions to the team-

football formations

Jurgen Klopp's system is mostly a fluid one as players tend to switch positions between themselves. With Roberto Firmino likely to remain the first-choice striker and Mane, Salah, Coutinho and Lallana all operating behind him, we could see Salah operating from the left a number of times.
